If Bulk Price Editor blocks a new task or sale, read the message on the form first. An existing operation may cover the same selection, or a completed task may still be automatically re-applying its saved prices.
An incomplete task has the same conditions
Open Tasks and find the existing task with the same selection and price actions. Check its status and Details.
If it is still processing the change you want, let it finish. If progress has stopped or the task is paused, follow check a slow or paused task or sale.
If you intend to stop the existing task, use its Cancel action and wait for restoration to finish. Canceling restores changes already applied. Before canceling, review later edits and overlapping work using the restoration guide.
Check the resulting prices before creating another task. A new percentage change uses the current price, so repeating a 10% increase can apply another increase.
A completed task has auto-reapply enabled
A completed task can still write its saved prices when automatic reapply is enabled. The app can block another task targeting the same products, collections or tags, including whole-store selections.
If you want to stop that task's automatic price updates:
Open the completed task's Details.
Check its selection and confirm that these are the automatic updates you want to stop.
Click Disable auto-reapply.
Return to the new task and review its selection and actions before clicking Create.
Disabling reapply stops future automatic rewrites by that task. It does not roll back its prices. Check current prices before applying the new change. See how reapply works.
Another sale covers the same products
Open Sales and check active or scheduled sales using the same products, collections or tags. For market sales, also check whether the markets share a price list.
Keep the existing sale if it already provides the intended promotion. To replace it, cancel a sale that has not started or disable an active sale, then wait for any restoration before starting the replacement. If you need consecutive promotions, schedule the new sale to start after the existing sale's end time and allow time for restoration.
Changing the selection method does not reliably separate overlapping products. If the new sale is created but some products are skipped, follow add missing products to an active sale.
A different message appears
For plan or product-capacity messages, check plan limits. For unavailable market controls, check market restrictions.
If you cannot identify the conflict, contact support with the exact message, the intended selection and the titles of related tasks or sales. Support can help check the overlap before you stop an operation.
