Add missing products to an active sale

Recheck a sale's selection, include new matching products automatically, and distinguish condition tracking from re-applying prices.

A product added to a collection after a sale starts does not receive the discount just because it now belongs to that collection. The sale needs to check its selection again, either manually or through Premium condition tracking.

First confirm that you created a sale. A task does not keep checking its collection for new products.

Check for new matching products now

  1. Open the active sale's Details.

  2. Choose Actions > Check changes.

  3. Confirm the check.

  4. Wait for the update to finish and check the product's price.

The check uses the sale's current selection and exclusions. It can add newly matching products and restore products that no longer match. Checking conditions is different from simply re-applying prices already recorded by the sale.

Change the selection of an active sale

  1. Open the sale's Details.

  2. Click Edit sale.

  3. Adjust Apply to, Exclude, or Exclude discounted.

  4. Click Update.

The app checks the revised selection and updates the sale. You can also edit its title, end time and available Advanced options. The discount, compare-at action, price rounding, start time, market selection and sale tags stay locked after the sale starts. To change those, disable the sale, wait for restoration, then duplicate it and create a new sale.

If the sale is currently preparing or updating, wait until it becomes active before editing it.

Keep matching products updated automatically

On Premium, open Edit sale and enable Track changes in condition automatically (every hour) under Advanced, then click Update.

The app periodically checks the sale's selection. New matching products can join, and products that stop matching can leave and have their prices restored. This also works for market sales.

This is an hourly check, not an instant response to a Shopify edit. Shopify needs to return the updated collection or tag membership, and processing takes time. Automatic checks skip sales ending within about an hour; use Check changes when an immediate recheck is needed.

Tracking and re-apply do different things

Setting

What it does

Track changes in condition automatically (every hour)

Rechecks which products belong in the sale

Automatically re-apply price changes (every hour)

Writes the sale's recorded prices again if another system overwrites them

Both are Premium features. Re-apply supports up to 10,000 price changes and does not add new products on its own. Re-apply is periodic, so another app can still change prices between runs.

The re-apply minute in Settings means a minute within each hour. A value of 20 means the hourly run is scheduled at twenty past the hour, not every twenty minutes. Processing and queues can delay completion.

A new variant is different from a new product

Condition checks do not add a new size or color variant to the saved changes for a product already in the sale. To include that variant, disable the sale, wait for restoration, then duplicate it and create the replacement sale with the intended variants selected. Products return to their original prices between those sales.

If a product is still missing

Check the sale's selection and both types of exclusions. Products on sale excludes a whole product when any variant is discounted; Product variants on sale excludes only the discounted variants. Discounted means compare-at is higher than price.

Also check whether another active sale targets the same variants on the same price list. The app can skip a conflicting product instead of applying a second discount. To move it between sales, remove it from the old sale's selection, let that sale recheck and restore it, then recheck the new sale. Disabling the old sale is another option if you intend to end that entire promotion.

If the product still does not receive the expected price after the update, send support the sale title, one example product and when it was added. These checks identify possible causes; they do not confirm what happened in your store without inspecting it.
