Choose which products and variants to change

Select collections, tags, products or individual variants, use a collection for additional filters, and check why a product was excluded.

Use Apply to in a task or sale to choose the products to change. Use Exclude to remove products from that selection. If only certain sizes or colors should change, choose Selected products with variants and select those variants explicitly.

Products on sale

Available for tasks; products with at least one variant whose compare at price is higher than its price

You can pick up to 100 collections or 100 products in the corresponding picker. This is a selection limit, separate from your plan's limit on how many products a task or sale can process. Selecting a collection can include more than 100 products, within that plan limit. Exclude, Exclude discounted and product status still apply: archived products are excluded, and draft inclusion depends on Settings > Apply price changes to.

Products on sale selects matching products, not just their discounted variants. Use an explicit variant selection when other variants on those products must remain unchanged.

Filter by price, vendor, product type or inventory

Bulk Price Editor does not have separate filters for these fields. Create a Shopify collection with the required conditions, then choose that collection under Apply to > Selected collections.

For example, a Shopify collection with a price condition below 50 can supply the products for a price-range task. Check the collection's actual members before creating the task. See Shopify's collection conditions.

Collection selection in Bulk Price Editor selects products; it does not copy a collection's price or inventory condition into a separate variant filter. If one size brings a product into the collection, other sizes can be included in the price change too. Use Selected products with variants when the change must affect only specific variants.

Check exclusions and product status

Exclude removes selected collections, products or tags. Exclude discounted is a separate setting that can be combined with those exclusions. Choose Products on sale to skip a whole product when any variant has compare at price greater than price, or Product variants on sale to skip only those discounted variants.

Archived products are excluded. For draft products, check Settings > Apply price changes to rather than assuming the store includes or excludes them.

If a new tag is missing from the picker, click Reload tags. The tag must already be assigned to at least one Shopify product; a tag name with no products will not appear.

A changing collection is not a permanent pricing rule

A task uses the products selected when it runs. Later additions need another appropriately scoped task. For an active sale, follow the manual check or automatic tracking procedure.

A price-based collection can change membership after a price edit. Consider that before using it with a tracked sale: products that stop matching can leave the sale and have their prices restored.
