Find discounted variants with a report

Find variants whose compare at price is above their selling price, and export them for review.

Use the discount report to find variants whose Compare at price is higher than their current selling price. It can help you review leftover crossed-out prices before deciding whether any price field should change.

The report does not identify which app or person created a discount. A compare-at value is not proof of the correct original selling price.

Generate the report

  1. Open Tools.

  2. Under View products with discount, click Generate report.

  3. Wait for the report to finish.

  4. Search by product, variant or SKU to inspect the rows.

  5. Click Export CSV to download the report.

The on-screen report shows price, compare at price and discount percentage for each matching variant. It uses product prices in your store currency, includes matching active and draft products, and excludes archived products.

It does not list every nonempty compare-at field. If compare at price is equal to or below selling price, that variant is excluded. It also does not list Shopify discount codes or fixed market discounts.

An empty report means no matching variants were returned for this report; it does not prove that every market or checkout discount is absent.

Review before changing anything

Generating the report does not clear compare-at values, change selling prices or stop an active sale.

If you want to remove crossed-out values while keeping selling prices, follow remove crossed-out prices without changing selling prices.

If you want to end a Bulk Price Editor sale, disable that sale and let it restore. Do not set every selling price to compare at price just because a row appears in the report.

Export and refresh the results

Export CSV exports all rows in the report, not just the current search results or page. The CSV includes Product, Variant, SKU, Price, Compare at price, Cost and Margin %. It does not include the on-screen Discount percentage column; you can calculate it as (compare at price - price) ÷ compare at price × 100.

The report is a snapshot, not a live price monitor. Generate a new report after changing prices. Reports are cleaned up after about a day, so download a copy while it is available.

There is no CSV import for applying edited prices.

If generation fails

If the page says Report generation failed, generate a new report from Tools. Contact support if generation keeps failing.
