Remove crossed-out prices without changing selling prices

Clear compare at prices while keeping current product prices, and distinguish removing sale styling from restoring an earlier selling price.

Use Reset compare at price in a task to clear the crossed-out price field while keeping the current selling price. This removes the compare-at value; it does not raise the selling price or restore a previous price.

For example, a product priced at 80 with a compare at price of 100 stays at 80 after the compare-at value is cleared. Its theme may stop showing the crossed-out 100 or a discount badge based on that field.

Clear compare at prices

  1. Click Create task.

  2. Select Product prices.

  3. Under Price, choose Don't change price and No rounding.

  4. Under Compare at price, choose Reset compare at price.

  5. Leave Cost per item unchanged, with no cost rounding.

  6. Select the products or variants under Apply to.

  7. Click Create task when ready to apply.

Use an explicit product or collection selection if you want to clear all compare-at values in that selection. Products on sale selects products with at least one variant whose compare at price is higher than its price. A reset can then clear compare-at values on other variants of those products too. It does not select every product with a nonempty compare-at field. Use Selected products with variants when only specific variants should be cleared.

If a sale is still active

Clearing compare-at values does not stop the sale. A later re-apply or restoration can write prices again. If your goal is to end that promotion and restore its recorded values, disable the sale.

If restoration has finished but prices are still wrong, send the sale or task title and one affected product in the support chat. Do not replace every selling price with its compare at price: that field is not proof of the intended original price.

If the crossed-out price remains

Check whether the storefront is displaying a market-specific price. A task on Product prices does not clear a fixed market compare-at value. Market compare-at changes must be made together with a market price action; see market prices.

If the relevant Shopify compare-at field is empty but the storefront still shows a sale label, the theme or another app may be supplying that label. Clearing the field cannot remove custom theme text or a separate discount app's display.
